Yellow Wood Partners acquires mass fragrances manufacturer Parfums de Coeur

Yellow Wood Partners, a Boston-based investment firm, has acquired Parfums de Coeur (PDC), a US-based mass-market fragrances manufacturer.

PDC markets and distributes its products under three category-leading national brands such as Body Fantasies, Designer Imposters and BOD Man, through relationships with the food, drug and mass merchandise retailers in the US.

Yellow Wood’s founding partner Peter Mann is the new chairman of Parfums de Coeur, whose brands are also sold in a growing number of international markets.

The firm said it is acquiring PDC business in partnership with the company’s management team, who are also investing equity into the business.

The transaction was headed by Houlihan Lokey as an exclusive financial advisor to Parfums de Coeur, while the Seward & Kissel served as legal counsel for the company.

Yellow Wood Partners was founded in 2011 by Dana Schmaltz and Peter Mann, the firm has offices in Boston, Massachusetts and Irvington, New York.
