Wuttisak Cosmetic to invest $2.28m in 2013 for products expansion

Thailand-based beauty and skincare products manufacturer Wuttisak Cosmetic is planning to invest THB70m($2.28m) in 2013 to market and extend its line of cosmetic products both in Thailand and potential markets overseas.

The firm said it will gradually introduce new cosmetic products at its 120 Wuttisak beauty clinics throughout the country, reported nationmultimedia.com.

Wuttisak Cosmetic also has seven franchised beauty clinics outside the country: four in Laos, two in Cambodia and one in Vietnam.

Wuttisak Clinic Group chief executive officer Nakorn Kornhiran said currently the cosmetic market is very alert as the majority of people, especially the youth, tend to pay a lot more attention to beauty and skincare.

"This drives Wuttisak Cosmetic continuously to develop health and beauty products to serve the ever-growing demand, both domestic and overseas, and get ready for the AEC market [Asean Economic Community]. We have already opened seven branches in three neighbouring countries that use the same business model and aggressive marketing-budget allotment as in Thailand," Kornhiran added.

Kornhiran said the firm also has a policy to expand its product line to cover all customers’ needs by underlining such sales channels as modern trade and convenience stores.

Wuttisak Cosmetic, established in 2007,offers more than 300 health and beauty products under four product categories such as functional drinks, supplements, personal care and skincare.

The firm has recently appointed singer and actor Thana ‘Chain’ Limparaya as its new marketing and public relations director under its expansion plans.
