VIPERA Cosmetics debuts in Oman

Poland-based Vipera Cosmetics has partnered with Indian firm Future Brands Investments to expand its operations in Oman.

Under the agreement, Vipera’s eight cosmetics kiosks will be opened in Oman’s major cities including Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa and Salalah, the company said.

Future Brands Spokesperson Harith Al-Brashdi said that Vipera Cosmetics offers products developed for Arab women and the partnership would bring in Vipera’s beauty products to Oman along with its retail strategy and competitive pricing model.

Vipera Cosmetics offers a ‘shop-in-shop’ concept which the company claims capitalizes on high-traffic, high-yield women’s shopping stores along with distribution through multi-branded stores and hypermarkets.

Vipera Cosmetics Middle East master distributor VIP Ventures director Amit Gandhi said that in the second phase, it will roll out Vipera outlets using the shop-in-shop format thereby penetrating in Oman’s other cities and towns.

"Omani women will now have access to a vast and competitively priced range of cosmetics that keeps pace with the latest fashion and beauty trends," added Gandhi.

Following Vipera’s debut outlets in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in 2011 and now in Oman, VIP Ventures said it is in advanced talks with potential partners in several other territories in the Middle East for further business developments.

Vipera has over 4,000 points of sale across 14 European countries its partnership with VIP Ventures.

The cosmetics major, which offers products through high-end kiosks located in the shopping areas and high-traffic areas of major malls, said that the new kiosk strategy has been successful in the UAE, delivering increased brand visibility and easy access to customers.
