ModiFace introduces new app for iOS devices to find makeup foundation

Technology firm ModiFace has introduced a new Foundation Finder Application for iPhones and iPads, with an aim to find the perfect shade of makeup foundation for consumers.

Created with Facial Recognition, Multi-Image Skin Assessment, and Virtual Simulation Technology, the new app allows users to find foundation shade that suits them by following a sequence of two simple steps consisting of uploading a photo and scanning a part of their skin.

Once the suitable foundation shade is found, users can preview the best matches on their own image virtually using ModiFace’s patented skin-care simulation technology.

According to the firm, the new app allows the consumers to upload over 100 images that are taken from the user’s skin in just a few seconds.

ModiFace said the app, by sampling a large array of images taken in very quick succession, will be able to partially correct for variations in lighting.

The firm said the application, when combined with a facial scan and virtual shade simulation, allows users to find their final shade choice and lets them to purchase the shade directly from the phone, or find nearby stores where the shade is available.

ModiFac founder and CEO Dr. Parham Aarabi said the new application is created with the firm’s years of research and development into skin analysis and simulation.

"This technology acts as a personal cosmetic expert to assist the everyday consumer when shopping for foundations," Aarabi added.

The "Foundation Finder" application can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.

ModiFace is a US-based virtual makeover technology for anti-aging, skin care, cosmetics, and hair care products.

The firm applies simulation technology across all platforms such as web, in-store kiosk, Facebook, iPhone, iPad and Android.
