ISCO partners with Sinopharm Group to distribute anti-aging skin care products in China

California-based biotechnology company International Stem Cell (ISCO) has announced that its cosmoseutical subsidiary Lifeline Skin Care has entered into an agreement with China-based pharmaceutical company Sinopharm Group to distribute its anti-aging skin care products in China.

The firm said it will leverage Sinopharm’s extended clinical network to introduce its products into the Chinese market.

According to the company, sales of cosmetic products in mainland China are estimated at about $8bn annually, with an annual growth rate of over 10%.

The firm said it will jointly work with Brilliant Sunrise SBC to market its products, while Brilliant Sunrise SBC will take the responsibility of importing and regulatory approvals.

Lifeline said it will offer its anti-aging skin care products in China’s largest and well known hospitals, spas and via online channels.

The products, developed by ISCO’s scientific team in collaboration with renowned skin care experts, promise anti-aging benefits, which, in turn, causes skin to look healthier and younger, said the company.

Brilliant Sunrise SBC co-founder Nicole Sha, said the group was excited to team up with the Lifeline Skin Care brand of science-based skin care and bring their products into Chinese market.

"Lifeline is a leader in an emerging field that will change how serious cosmetic brands approach skin care. By rolling out the products in channels such as Shanghai’s 9th People Hospital and Hua Shan Hospital, which have some of the best cosmetic surgery and skin care centers in China, we aim to introduce the product in a way that highlights Lifeline Skin Care’s unique value proposition," Sha added.

Lifeline develops, manufactures and commercialises advanced skin care products based on growth factors and peptides derived from human parthenogenetic stem cells.
