Davines inks distribution agreement with Esthetics International

Italy-based beauty products manufacturer Davines SPA has signed distribution agreements with Malaysia-based Skin care products manufacturer and distributor Esthetics International Group to distribute its hair care products in Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore.

Under the new agreement, Esthetics International’s arm EIG Dermal Wellness (M) was granted the exclusive rights to distribute Davines hair care products in Malaysia and Brunei.

The firm said its other wing EIG Dermal Wellness (S) will hold the rights to distribute Davines hair care products in Singapore.

The term of the two agreements is for 10 years until 31 December 2022, with an option to renew for a further period of 10 years.

EIG Dermal Wellness will hold the exclusive rights until 1 Jan 2015.

According to the Malaysian firm, the new distribution agreements will allow the group to extend its professional distribution capabilities and product portfolio to the distribution of professional hair care products in professional salons.

Headquartered in Italy, Davines specialises in the development of professional hair care products and is the brand owner of the Davines range of hair care products.

Esthetics, in an announcement, commented: "With focused and prudent sales and marketing efforts and barring unforeseen circumstances, the above transaction is expected to positively contribute to future profits, earnings per share and net assets of EIG."
