Clariface to widen its business operations in 2013

Clariface, a Malaysia-based facial care products manufacturer, is planning to open four new franchises in Selangor and Johor Bahur region in 2013.

The firm is planning to expand its business through franchising as it aims to focus on maintaining quality of its products.

Clariface managing director Anburaj Gnaesparan told bernama.com that the firm with the new expansion plans producing natural skincare products.

"Hence, we think, it’s better to expand our business via franchising as each franchisee will take care of the business by themselves," Gnaesparan added.

The firm said it has invested MYR1m ($0.33m) for the research and development of the new products.

According to the firm, the new product lines developed under the investment include five skincare series named as active fix acne therapy, hydro restore therapy, white luminance therapy, active lift therapy and active cell restore therapy.

The firm said the flagship store in Bangsar will offer facial treatment and a range of skincare products to cater to the local market.

Clariface from the newstore’s first year of operations is expecting to record a revenue of up to MYR2m ($0.65m).

The company said in the phase of building up its brand for the local market it will invest MYR500,000($0.16m) for marketing and advertising the products.

The firm revealed that it has made its plans to penetrate the overseas markets by end-2013.
