Athar’a introduces Ayurveda inspired beauty products

User of Eastern ingredients and Ayurveda skin care traditions to promote health and wellbeing Athar’a launched its Pure Exotic Skin Essentials, a 100% natural skin care brand inspired by South Asian and Ayurveda beauty traditions.

Its first product, Superfruit & Jasmine Antioxidant Face Cream, is a 100% natural, organic and vegan anti-aging facial cream to give women a therapeutic, spa experience at home.

Athar’a founder Sara Sonia Davoodi her products are made using pure, plant based exotic ingredients and scented with pure essential oils right in the US but my inspiration and influence comes from my South Asian heritage.

"Many existing natural and organic products are not actually 100% natural or chemical free, many of them contain harmful preservatives and fragrances, I wanted to create something pure, safe and beautiful with a luxurious feel," said Davoodi.

Made with 100% natural ingredients including super fruits, such as acai berry, pomegranate, blueberry and certified organic Moroccan Argan Oil, the antioxidant face cream also contains green tea and certified organic African Shea Butter, and certified organic oils of avocado, almond and jojoba.

"I spent many summers in my grandparents’ home overseas, surrounded by the sweet fragrant aroma of Jasmine flowers, I knew that Jasmine had great skincare benefits, so the scent of this face cream comes from pure, distilled Jasmine essential oil – it’s gentle, aromatic and contains skin loving ingredients that will help brighten skin tone, protect and reverse signs of aging, including wrinkles and dark spots and it does all of this without the use of any chemicals, parabens, fillers or artificial ingredients," added Davoodi.

The 2oz antioxidant face cream is said to be free of any animal products and is nut and gluten-free.

The company said it is the part of its commitment to providing safe and effective products that are ecofriendly and not tested on animals.
