VENN and Asia Seed partner to develop new skincare ingredients

US brand VENN Skincare has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korean vegetable research and development (R&D) company Asia Seed to develop ingredients for skincare products.

As part of the partnership, both the firms will jointly conduct R&D activities into functional hybrid vegetables and seeds, aiming to provide more powerful active ingredients.

VENN Skincare founder and CEO Brian Oh said: “This partnership is extremely exciting as it will help to inform next-generation products that have never been seen before.

“Our R&D and brand positioning is based on bringing the most effective, safe and results-driven formulas to the marketplace. This partnership will allow for the development of skincare products with greater potency that deliver visible and clinically-tested results.”

Asia Seed founder and president Kyoung Oh Ryu added: “It is not only just a partnership between VENN Skincare and Asia Seed, but it also indicates a great business opportunity between the US and South Korea in the seed industry, skincare, and R&D.

“Asia Seed has been allocating 20% of its sales revenue towards R&D, and investing more than 5% into hybrids with extra health benefits.”

VENN Skincare develops and produces skincare products, while Asia Seed grows special vegetable varieties for more than 40 countries globally.
