TPG Capital plans to acquire minority stake in Anastasia Beverly Hills

US-based private equity firm TPG Capital is planning to buy a minority stake in global cosmetics brand Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) in a deal valued at around $3bn.

It is said that the investment firm is currently in talks with Anastasia to finalise the deal this month.

An agreement would ensure that ABH founder and CEO Anastasia Soare would continue to run the business, reported Reuters.

When asked about the deal, both companies chose not to comment.

ABH was established as a flagship beauty salon in 1997 and launched its first cosmetics product line in 2000.

The company offers cosmetics, colour makeup and brow-shaping products under various brands, including Brow Wiz, Contour Kit and Liquid Lipstick.

ABH’s products are available online on the company’s website, as well as at major retailers such as Dillard’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Sephora and ULTA.

Established in 1992, TPG has more than $82bn of assets. Its offices are located in Austin, Beijing, Boston, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Moscow, Mumbai, New York and Singapore.
