Topix introduces line of retinol and acid-based peels

US-based Topix Pharmaceuticals has launched Topix Professional Peels, a range of customisable treatments designed to address individual skin concerns.

The line combines retinol and acid-based peels with pharmaceutical-grade ingredients that address issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea and the signs of ageing.

The range comprises Retinol Peel, Retinol Peel Accelerator, Universal Peel, Intermediate Peel, Mandelic Acid 40%, Salicylic Acid 20%, Glycolic 25%-Lactic 25%, and Lactic Acid 20%.

Retinol Peel 6%, Retinol Peel Accelerator, Universal Peel and Salicylic Acid 20% are mild superficial peels and rapid exfoliators for the treatment of dry and dull skin. Claimed to be suitable for all skin types, Retinol Peel 6% and Retinol Peel Accelerator can also be used for pigmented skin.

Intermediate Peel is a medium superficial peel to treat pigmentation. It is intended for Fitzpatrick skin types I-III.

Mandelic Acid 40% is a mild superficial peel and exfoliator to treat hyperpigmented, photodamaged or acne-prone skin. It is claimed to be suitable for all skin types.

Glycolic, 25%-Lactic, 25% is a mild superficial peel to treat pigmented skin and to support brightening therapies. It is used for Fitzpatrick skin types I-III.

Lactic Acid 20% is a mild superficial peel and hydrator to treat dry, dull skin. It helps to reduce surface oil build-up and blemishes. It is suitable for rosacea patients.

Topix Pharmaceuticals suggests its Prep Pads, Pre Peel Cleansing Pads and Peel Neutralizer spray can be used as conjunctive treatments to the Professional Peels.
