Topix Pharmaceuticals launches new lip treatment product

Topix Pharmaceuticals has introduced pigment-free lip product Replenix Pure Hydration Plumping Lip Treatment.

This anti-ageing solution uses fractionated hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin. It also helps protect from ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) light with its sun protector factor (SPF) of 30.

Replenix Pure Hydration Plumping Lip Treatment claims to address skin ageing issues such as losing volume, colour and definition by stimulating an increased flow of nutrients to the lips.

Topix research and development (R&D) senior vice-president Steve Hernandez said: “This product is unlike anything on the market. Layers of carefully selected ingredient technologies make it a fully comprehensive treatment, with the ability to hydrate, volumise and protect the lips both instantly and over time.”

The product’s ingredient technology Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 is an anti-ageing peptide that provides a healthy collagen-rich appearance and is said to restore youthful volume and fullness.

In addition to molecular forms of hyaluronic acid used for moisturising, a biomimetic ceramide complex is used.

The product’s antioxidants further protect the lips from free radical damage which causes the lips to dry and chap.

According to a clinical study of the product, 85% of users’ wrinkles were less noticeable after treatment, 90% recorded fuller lips and 100% said their lips were more hydrated and the colour was enhanced, with overall improvement recorded within four weeks of use.
