Sofwave Medical gets regulatory clearance in Canada for wrinkle reduction device

Sofwave Medical, an Israel-based provider of energy-based non-invasive, skin treatment aesthetic medical devices, has secured approval from Health Canada for its next-generation Sofwave system.

This devices helps aesthetic practices offer wrinkle reduction in a single treatment through innovative energy-based treatment, claimed the firm.

Salient Medical president Jay Herman said: “Sofwave has been the most anticipated introduction of non-invasive aesthetic devices since its introduction and rapid adoption in the US.  “We are excited to partner with Sofwave and be able to provide this opportunity to physicians across Canada to enhance their practice.”

Sofwave Medical CEO Louis Scafuri said that the clearance for Sofwave technology is “an important milestone for the company.”

The new technology is targeting  an increasing customer base of patients who are looking to reduce their wrinkles and facial lines with non-invasive technology.

Sofwave’s Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam technology SUPERB addresses the increasing demand for non-invasive treatments that provide wrinkle reduction.
