Kiehl’s launches new serum-infused water cream for skincare

American cosmetic brand Kiehl’s has expanded its Calendula family with the launch of Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream for skincare.

The new product comes with a weightless formula that increases hydration, leaving the skin soft and a fresh finish.

The lightweight moisturiser provides instant relief from skin irritation and also strengthens skin barrier. It also helps to reduce early signs of aging and redness.

Clinical tests of the formula showed reduction of fine dry lines and making the skin texture smooth.

The product is infused with calendula, which has been widely used in ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicines for many centuries.

Kiehl’s formula is developed to include the concentrated calendula serum ingredients within the water phase.

On applying the formula, the serum infusion delivers calendula extract and several micronized calendula petal parts directly to the skin.

The calendula petals are first steeped at a high temperature for about ten minutes before being added to the formula.

During mixing, the petals are crushed into hundreds of micronized petals that can be visible only under a microscope.

Kiehl’s launched Calendula Petal line in 1960s with the launch of Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner.

It also subsequently launched Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydrating Mask and Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash.
