Revlon appoints new president and CEO

Multinational cosmetics and personal care company Revlon has promoted its COO Debra Perelman to the role of president and CEO.

In this role, Debra will be responsible for managing the company’s brand portfolio and supporting the company’s e-commerce business.

Debra said: “Beauty has emerged as one of today’s most dynamic and fastest-growing industries and I look forward to working with Revlon’s world-class team to amplify our strategy and accelerate growth.

“I am committed to driving the company to compete and thrive in today’s dynamic environment and encouraging our talented team’s entrepreneurial spirit, agility and bold creativity.”

At Revlon, Debra previously held various operational and leadership roles in finance, distribution and sales operations, as well as international and marketing business domains.

She also served as an executive and a board member, overseeing corporate strategy and leading the company’s ongoing digital transformation.

Prior to Revlon, she served as a member of the senior leadership team at MacAndrews & Forbes.

Commenting on the appointment, Revlon’s board of directors chairman Ronald Perelman said: “Debbie’s global perspective, financial acumen and holistic approach to brands, consumers and technology will help Revlon reclaim its leadership position.”

The company’s interim CEO Paul Meister will continue in his role as executive vice-chairman of the Board of Directors.
