Topix Pharmaceuticals launches new skincare moisturiser

US-based company Topix Pharmaceuticals has launched new skincare moisturiser Replenix Pure Hydration Moisture Balm, which is designed to nourish and replenish dry skin and counteract visible signs of ageing.

This new product is said to help repair the skin's barrier function and maintain the moisture balance. It features a triple layer moisture technology, which is designed to work with the humectants, emollients, and ceramides to enhance lipid replenishment and refine dull, rough, or cracked skin.

Hyaluronic acid aids moisture absorption into the skin and develops a waterproof seal. Along with Yucca Glauca root and Glycerin, these humectants are aimed to improve skin firmness.

The moisture balm also consists of oil-free emollients such as Squalane and Vitamin E, which aid skin rehydration.

Biomimetic ceramide complex is similar to the natural ceramides of the skin. It prevents trans-epidermal water loss and refines elasticity and texture.

Topix Pharmaceuticals' research and development senior vice-president Steve Hernandez said: "As skin ages it naturally becomes more dehydrated, losing elasticity and volume.

"This layered approach to hydration draws moisture into skin and keeps it there, softening dryness and soothing irritation, ultimately helping to restore a youthful appearance."

Furthermore, the product contains antioxidants such as Bisabolol that works as a soothing agent and decreases dry skin flaking, while Green tea polyphenols in combination with Caffeine USP and Resveratrol ensures calming benefits and minimises visible redness.

Replenix Pure Hydration Moisture Balm is said to be suitable for all skin types.
