Body Shop appoints Lisa Houghton as lead makeup artist

The Body Shop International has appointed Lisa Houghton as the brand’s global makeup artist.

Houghton will work to develop products and create seasonal looks, which will be showcased through digital content creations and tutorial videos.

The New York-based British makeup artist has established herself in the last ten years.

Her works have been published in several news publications and magazines.

Houghton said: "I feel so excited about working with The Body Shop. I love that the products have been produced with a 100% vegetarian formula without compromising the quality or colour pigments, quite an achievement.

"I want to bring the existing exceptional, extensive and versatile makeup range to the attention of a far wider audience who really care about the quality of their makeup and show the beautiful looks that can be achieved with this range."

The Body Shop is a global cosmetic and skincare brand with more than 3,000 stores in around 60 countries.

The Body Shop opened its first store in East Sussex in England.

In 2006, the brand was acquired by L’Oréal.
