Solomomo unveils new device to help analyse skincare routines

Beauty and skincare firm Solomomo has unveiled new device Solomomo Home Skin Wand.

The wand is fitted with lights and magnification to enable users to have a close look at their skin. The device then connects to a 7" touchscreen, which shows live video footage and creates a personal skin map by guiding to specific around around the face.

Images are evaluated in the cloud and a skin report is generated on the device, which provides users a way to track skin health and the effectiveness of their regimen, including the products they use over time.

With this information, users can adjust their regimens according to data provided on hydration levels, exfoliation, pore size, and pore cleanliness, as well as the number of fine lines and wrinkles.

Solomomo board member and Helix BioMedix's president and chief operating officer Robin Carmichael said: “Solomomo provides a personal, ongoing monitor that can help fine-tune skincare regimens and show which products really work.

"From dry skin to fine lines and wrinkles, Solomomo is a must-have for advanced skincare.”

Customers can now pre-order Solomomo Home Skin for $99, which will be shipped in March.

In addition to high-tech products for the beauty, skincare, and wellness markets, Solomomo offers an interactive kiosk Solomomo Retail that allows skincare analysis with a 3D facial map for an augmented reality makeup try-on.

All the designs of the firm are accompanied by a mobile app.
