Shiseido commences domestic operations of Laura Mercier in Canada

Shiseido's Canadian division has launched the sales, marketing, public relations, and logistical operations of French cosmetics brand Laura Mercier and skincare brand RéVive.

Shiseido's subsidiary Shiseido Americas acquired both brands last year.

Laura Mercier's portfolio includes colour cosmetics, makeup, body and bath creams, skincare, and fragrance products.

Shiseido Americas' president and chief executive officer (CEO) Marc Rey said: "Laura Mercier's belief that what makes you unique makes you beautiful has resonated well with its loyal and fast growing customer base.

"And we couldn't be happier to play a role in expanding the reach of the brand's iconic French elegance and inspiring innovation."

Shiseido Americas' Global Centers of Excellence for skincare and colour cosmetics, as well as the approach towards enhanced market impact and awareness, are expected to support the presence of Laura Mercier.

Shiseido's Canada president Louanne McGrory said: "Through Laura Mercier's exceptional products and her investment in the brand's Makeup Artist Collective, which includes celebrity makeup artists Pati Dubroff and Jenn Streicher, and renowned digital fashion influencers like Suki Waterhouse, the brand has done an incredible job of connecting with consumers through engaging and aspirational content.

"The Canadian Laura Mercier team looks forward to further acquainting our retailers, media, influencers, and especially our consumers, the most important priority for all of our brands, with Laura Mercier through retail excellence, beautiful events, and innovative partnerships."

Launched in 1996, the brand's products are available at select retailers such as Sephora, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Space NK, Selfridges, and on Lauramercier.com. In Canada, the brand is sold at Sephora, Holt Renfrew, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
