Shiseido appoints new president for Bare Escentuals Beauty division

Cosmetics firm Shiseido Americas has appointed Susan Jurevics as president of its Bare Escentuals Beauty division.

Set to oversee the bareMinerals brand, Jurevics will help develop and implement a strategic vision and growth plan.

Shiseido Americas president and CEO Marc Rey said: “Susan is an exceptional leader with an impressive track record working with some of the world’s most successful brands.

“She has deep management experience and a keen understanding of marketing and brand-building, and I believe she will bring fresh and unique insights to bareMinerals as our brands navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape and explore new methods of driving consumer engagement.”

With more than 25 years' experience, Jurevics previously worked at Mattel, Nickelodeon, and Sony. She then joined as CEO and board director of news firm Pottermore and Wizarding World where she worked on evolving the brand and its business model.

Shiseido Americas is the US division of Japanese cosmetics company Shiseido founded in 1872. The firm provides an assortment of skincare, makeup, fragrance, bodycare and suncare offerings across multiple brands in more than 120 countries.

Shiseido acquired the bareMinerals brand in 2010, which offers makeup products such as foundation, skincare offerings, and fragrances in approximately 30 countries.
