Perfect Corp partners with Kristofer Buckle for new makeup collection on YouCam

Perfect Corp has partnered with makeup artist Kristofer Buckle to expand the offerings on its augmented reality (AR) beauty app YouCam Makeup.

The new Fantasy Series collection includes six looks that are inspired from three fantasy styles.

Perfect Corp's chief executive officer (CEO) Alice Chang said: “We believe that the release of this imaginative collection will inspire YouCam fans around the world to try bold new styles firsthand, and feel more empowered through our unique AR beauty experience.”

YouCam Makeup uses facial mapping technology to offer a true-to-life virtual makeover.

Buckle said: “This creative beauty matchup offers a fun and creative form of instant self-expression that simplifies makeup discovery into a single tap in YouCam.”

The firm has recently announced the availability of YouCam Makeup consultation mode at Fruit Gathering’s new Ginza INZ store in Japan. The consultation mode is a customised function designed for in-store use by cosmetic brands to offer an online-to-offline (O2O) beauty experience to customers.

Customers can use a Virtual Makeup Studio at the store to virtually try-on makeovers using the app’s augmented reality technology. 

Fruit Gathering's products will be displayed on the consultation mode and customers can purchase these products in-store.

Users can experiment and create their own makeup styles, as well as use the mirror to try Fruit Gathering’s base makeup method called the contour 3D Base that creates beauty looks to highlight natural bone structure.
