Nail Labo selects Kyocera’s opal material for Presto Glitters

Japan-based Kyocera’s new Kyoto Opal material has been selected by Nail Labo to expand its Presto Glitters product portfolio.

The transparent, crystal type material is intended to be used in 14 additional Presto Glitters colours.

The Presto Kyoto Opal Glitter nail colours that are currently available are said to be suitable for daily use and special occasions. They can be purchased through Nail Labo’s website and retail store in the US.

The synthetic Kyoto Opal material is similar to natural opal and can be cut into a variety of shapes. It will be used to help reduce nail brittleness, splitting, and cracking.

Through special colouring techniques, Kyoto Opal can be used in different applications to obtain rich or subtle hues and tints.

Originally launched in 2008 as a decorative material, Kyoto Opal has been used in watches, musical instruments, and nail gels in Japan and other international markets.

Nail Labo developed the Presto professional LED Gel system for improved pigmentation, longevity, and safety.
