Meitu offers new virtual makeup looks by Daniel Chinchilla

Mobile internet platform Meitu has launched new makeup looks by celebrity Daniel Chinchilla on its MakeupPlus beauty app.

MakeupPlus users can now virtually try-on Chinchilla’s specially curated looks, Glow Up, Stunner, and Star Girl on the digital platform.

The app leverages artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology to enable virtual try-on of makeup and hair products.

Chinchilla said: "I love making people feel their most beautiful, which is why I worked closely with the MakeupPlus team to create versatile looks that work for any occasion and make you feel like your best self.

"My biggest source of inspiration is from my clients and I've found that the key to some of my best work starts at the base.

"[Glowing skin] is so on trend right now and it's true that glowing skin is healthy skin, so I made sure this was incorporated into each of the looks designed for the app."

The Glow Up look offers subtle contour and glossy lips, while Stunner features orange lipstick, extra-long lashes, and a hint of glitter.

The Star Girl look is designed to highlight the cheekbones, brows, and nose.

Meitu global public relations director Liz Goodno said: "Daniel is the perfect partner for MakeupPlus since his signature look, a glowing complexion with a strong highlight, is exactly what so many of our users are looking to achieve right now."

In addition to Chinchilla, Meitu has previously partnered with other male makeup artists such as Angel Merino and Bretman Rock.
