M&As this week: The Glow Concept, Bunzl plc

The Glow Concept has taken over Laqa and Co, an indie brand, through a cash and stock deal to further expand its portfolio in the indie beauty industry.

Post the acquisition, Georgina Hofmann, the founder and current creative director of LAQA, will continue to serve the same position along with rest of the board, whereas Nicole Lee, the company’s co-founder, will join The Glow Concept as vice-president for its sales division.

Laqa’s offices will also shift to the acquiring company’s headquarters.

Laqa and Co is a beauty brand that sells colour cosmetics.

British multinational distribution and outsourcing company Bunzl plc, which recently acquired the Belgian distributor Polaris Chemicals SPRL, has now taken over a British company, The Classic Printed Bag Company Limited, to further grow in the UK and Hong Kong retail sector.

The Classic Printed Bag Company Limited sells gift bags and other fancy bags.
