M&As this week: Regent Holding, SS Comtech

Regent Holding Company, the parent company of Creative Co-Op and Bloomingville, has taken over Illume Holding Company.

While the former is an American company dealing with wholesale of home decor and accent products, the latter manufactures and markets personal care products and home fragrances.

Following the acquisition, current Illume president and CEO Liz Barrere will continue to serve her role in the same designation, along with her fellow employees.

SS Comtech Co., a South Korean functional chemical materials manufacturer, will invest $2.75m in Ambiance M. Korea Co. (Ambiance) by acquiring a 53.6% stake in the company.

Ambiance M. Korea Co. is also a South Korean company involved in manufacturing handmade soap, along with other beauty and skincare products.

The agreement provides for purchasing 253,333 shares in Ambiance.
