M&As this week: Long4Life, Church & Dwight

Long4Life has reached an agreement to acquire Sorbet Group, which owns health, beauty, and grooming outlets.

Based in South Africa, Long4Life is an investment holding firm. It will pay up to R116m ($9m) to Sorbet Groupas part of the share purchase agreement.

Operating 186 franchised salons in South Africa and the UK, Sorbet also serves the male grooming and ethnic hair segments through collaboration with Clicks group.

Church & Dwight Co has agreed to acquire Water Pik from private equity firm MidOcean Partners.

Church & Dwight Co manufactures and distributes personal care, household, and specialty products. Water Pik is a health and wellness products maker and marketer.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q3, 2017. It will involve a purchase consideration of $1bn in cash.

All the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.
