M&As this week: Groupe Rocher, Unilever, and Korres Natural Products

Groupe Rocher has announced the acquisition of an approximate 51% stake in Sabon for ILS500m ($129m).

Groupe Rocher is a cosmetics firm based in France, while Sabon is a natural bath and body products chain based in Israel.

Under the terms of the deal, the existing management will continue to operate Sabon and Groupe Rocher will have an option to acquire the remaining stake in the future.

The acquisition is part of Groupe Rocher’s overseas expansion strategy.

Unilever has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Living Proof.

Unilever is a consumer goods company, while Living Proof is a producer of haircare products based in the US.

Korres Natural Products has announced the acquisition of Calderdale Trading for €0.12m ($0.125m).

Calderdale Trading is the parent company of Backyard Design IKE, which is involved in branding, corporate design, and corporate and product communication. Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in Greece.

The acquisition will provide cost savings to Korres to achieve and expand its communication activities.
