Lubrizol unveils new personal care concepts

Lubrizol has unveiled a variety of new personal care concepts at the NYSCC show in New York.

One product shown, the new Pemulen EZ-4U polymeric emulsifier, will provide emulsion stability in skin and sun care products, offering a smooth texture.

The company also demonstrated the abilities of Avalure Flex-6 polymer to stabilise highly pigmented systems of face colour cosmetics. This polymer can stabilise water-in-oil (W/O) to oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions to facilitate a comfortable wear and soft feel.

In addition, Lubrizol introduced new beauty survival kit Wow Mom, which targets skincare for active mothers, and new prototypes with potential to offer a soft and smooth feel in the formulation of facial, body, and hand cleansing products.

As part of its new cleansing concepts, Lubrizol introduced new platform technology Carbopol Smart polymers and demonstrated their contribution to the development of advanced cleansing products.

The firm has also introduced new rheology modifier Carbopol Clear polymer for hair styling applications. It can be used in the formulation of several haircare products such as standard styling gels, clays, and waxes.

Lubrizol develops, manufactures, and markets specialty chemicals that alter physical properties, increase functional performance, and deliver benefits across skincare, haircare, surface care and fabric care products.

It also provides polymer-based pharmaceutical and medical device solutions.

The NYSCC show took place from 2 May to 3 May.
