Louis Vuitton to launch new fragrance in September

French luxury brand Louis Vuitton plans to launch a new fragrance in September, which will be its first in decades.

It had planned to launch the perfume in 2013. However, this plan was pushed to 2016.

The task of producing new fragrances is being handled by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, a perfumer who had earlier worked for Giorgio Armani, and Issey Miyake, reported Premiumbeautynews.com.

In order to produce fragrances, the brand has developed a creative workshop in Grasse, a town in France.

The brand first launched its perfume in 1927. This perfume was called Heures d’Absences.

Following the 1925 launch, it rolled out the Je, Tu, Il trio perfume in 1928.

The brand last launched its two perfumes Reminiscence and Eau de voyage in 1946.

Belletrud is the first in-house perfumer of the brand, and has travelled around the world seeking inspiration for creating perfumes.

The brand’s signature material leather will be part of the new fragrance collection.
