L’Oréal launches new live chat hair colour consultation tool

L'Oréal Hair Colourist/Paris has launched a new live chat hair colour consultation tool, which provides shade recommendations and colour correction advice.

Available at the click of a button on both desktop and mobile, the new tool is set up on the L'Oréal Paris Hair Colour page and enables customers to chat directly with an expert trained to provide professional advice.

Customers can seek help from the experts to identify their right hair colour, correct colouring mistakes, and receive personal product recommendations.

L'Oréal's USA Technical Center vice-president Julia Youssef said: "When it comes to hair, we believe that your signature shade is out there, even if you haven't found it yet.

"We're eliminating the guesswork and offering an all-inclusive experience to address all of their hair concerns."

L'Oréal's USA Consumer Care Center vice-president Celine Dumais said: "The tool allows us to enter into a mutually beneficial partnership with consumers by combining one-on-one engagement with a hair colour expert with technology that helps us to better understand our Hair Colour consumer."

In 2014, L'Oréal Paris launched app Makeup Genius, which enables users to scan a L'Oréal Paris product or advertisement and virtually try on individual products or curated looks.

A unit of L'Oréal USA, L'Oréal Paris offers products across hair colour, haircare, styling, skincare, and cosmetics categories. L'Oréal Paris' skincare brands include Revitalift, Age Perfect, Sublime Bronze and Advanced Suncare.
