Lessonia launches new cosmetic ingredient

Cosmetic major Lessonia, supplier of exfoliators to the cosmetic industry, is geared up to launch a completely renewable and degradable ingredient — Celluloscrub.

The company has said that this product has been specifically designed to ensure less use of polyethylene (PE) beads in cosmetic products.

Stressing on the authenticity of Celluloscrub, Lessonia has claimed that the new product was made from the extracts of wood pulp.

It may be noted that PE beads are widely used in cosmetic products that, many a time, harm the users as well as the environment.

Ever since an alarm has been raised over the increasing damage to the environment from beads, several cosmetic companies have been phasing out the use of the same.

Lessonia said that Celluloscrub will offer the same performance in making cosmetics, for instance, same colour and stability.

Also, the company said Celluloscrub is an approved product across the world, including China.
