Kosé to sell cosmetics subsidiary to Nihon Kolmar

Japanese personal care firm Kosé Corporation is set to divest the equity interests of its China-based manufacturing subsidiary Kose Cosmetics to Nihon Kolmar.

This move is part of the firm’s strategy to support business growth and improve operations efficiency.

The divestiture of Kose Cosmetics follows the firm’s decision to place greater focus on separate subsidiary Kose Cosmetics Sales.

Founded in 1963, Nihon Kolmar is a Japanese contract manufacturer and supplier of cosmetics and quasi-drugs.

The acquisition is subject to factors such as approval of regulatory authorities.

Kosé’s portfolio includes Decorté, Jillstuart, Sekkisei MYV, Infinity, Predia, Addiction, and Paul Stuart.
