Jo Malone forays into India with new fragrance boutique

UK-based Jo Malone London has debuted in the Indian market with a new boutique at Palladium Mall in Mumbai.

Jo Malone London was founded in 1994 by UK perfumer Joanne Lesley Malone and was later purchased in 1999 by the Estée Lauder Companies, reported Business Standard.

The firm’s fragrances include a variety of products such as Basil & Neroli, Orange Blossom, Pomegranate Noir, Nutmeg & Ginger, and Red Roses.

Estée Lauder Companies India general manager Rohan Vaziralli was quoted by Business Standard as saying: "Jo Malone London is the epitome of British luxury and style, and we are thrilled to launch in India: a country bursting with history, energy, and a genuine love for fragrance.”

According to Vogue, the brand offers a customised shopping service at its Tasting Bar, where fragrance stylists provide customers with a scented arm massage and a session on fragrance combination techniques.

In addition to fragrances, Jo Malone London offers bath and body products, including body oil, body and hand lotion, bath oil, body crème, shampoo, conditioner, hand crème, and soap.

Jo Malone’s portfolio further includes Vitamin E containing products such as gel, lip conditioner, eye crème, moisturising day crème, hand treatment, body treatment scrub, and body balm.
