Isaac Mizrahi to add more colour to women’s vanity bags

Famous for his flambuoyancy, Isaac Mizrahi is all set to add more than a streak of colour to women’s vanity bags this spring.

Joining forces with True Cosmetics, Mizrahi has brought out an extraordinary range of make-up kit and skincare products named True Isaac Mizrahi, a 144-piece collection of lipsticks, shadows, glosses, nail polishes, etc., to complement his usual vibrant persona.

"I am so happy to be launching a beauty line. I love colour, and now I get to share my passion for it in this new and exciting way," he declared. "The right make-up is essential to a woman’s look, and making women feel beautiful is what my brand is all about."

Each skincare formula is a blend of green tea, marine algae and vitamins A and E packaged in luxe gold, while the colours have been named after Mizrahi’s favourite places in New York as well as his favourite Hollywood stars.

Partnering discount retailer Target, Mizrahi started a successful women’s garment line in 2002, which continued till 2008. Later, QVC began broadcasting his show, Isaac Mizrahi Live! in 2010 and in 2012 he released a fragrance that became a success.

The whole gamut of beauty products will be offered at 150 stores — including the retailer Beauty Brands — and online at isaacmizrahi.com.
