Groupe GM opens distribution subsidiaries in China and Taiwan

France-based Groupe GM has opened its distribution subsidiaries in China and Taiwan in partnership with local partners.

In Changzhou, China, the company has opened its branch under the name Jiaomu Cosmetic, which has been formed in response to the growing demand for luxurious amenities in graded hotels.

Groupe GM’s Taiwan-based new distribution subsidiary, called Paris Beauté, expects to serve a growing micro-market, mainly composed of five-star hotels, high-scaled independent hotels and luxurious bed and breakfasts.

Groupe GM president Laurent Marchand said: "This is a milestone in the company’s history and a clear message that our expansion plan is serious and consistent.

"We have intensified our global expansion process in the last few years by forming joint ventures and acquiring new distributors. Thanks to a network of exclusive distributors, Groupe GM’s vision to make wellbeing and beauty accessible to everyone is a reality in the most prestigious hotels and spas worldwide.

"We are thrilled to be able to access these new markets and watch as Groupe GM’s portfolio of hospitality products are enjoyed by increasing numbers of hotels and guests across Asia."

With the expansion, the company, which already has presence in Japan and Korea, aims to further strengthen its position in Asia, as well as expand its international development beyond the current network.

The company’s existing network includes more than 70 countries worldwide.

Paris Beauté general manager Tanya Hu said: "Taiwan attracts millions of visitors from Hong Kong, Japan and Korea, a very demanding clientele renowned for its refined taste.

Apart from Asia, Groupe GM is also planning to expand its presence in the Middle East, with its own structure in Dubai.
