Evonik unveils two new cosmetic ingredients

German specialty chemicals firm Evonik is set to introduce two new cosmetic ingredients, while also expanding its current range from recent purchases of Air Products and Alkion.

Developed by Evonik's personal care business, the two new ingredients are Tego Pep 4-Comfort and Antil 500 Pellets.
TEGO Pep 4-Comfort soothes sensitive skin and improves redness and irritation, while the hydrophilic rheology modifier Antil 500 Pellets features thickening properties.

Antil 500 Pellets helps thicken surfactant systems and is ideal for the formulation of mild surfactant-based skin products.

Evonik's personal care North America marketing manager Kunal Kumar said: “Our broadened portfolio, combined with our innovative new products and concepts, enable Evonik’s personal care business line to provide a host of solutions to formulators and manufacturers."

The firm is also planning to introduce a new concept called Active Lifestyle, which comprises of various formulation ideas that can be achieved using Evonik's personal care specialty ingredients.

The new version of Evonik's interactive tool Sensory Kaleidoscope will also be displayed at the event. It has been designed to provide desired skin feel.

Evonik will showcase its products at NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2017 to be held on 2 May and 3 May at Javits Center in New York.
