Evonik launches low-viscous formulations for skin care applications

German specialty chemical manufacturer Evonik has launched low-viscous formulation concept for skin care applications.

The company has developed a sample kit with six low-viscous formulations of market relevant textures like serum, toner, light emulsion, spray, mask to provide solutions for sensorial consumer demands.

The new formulations claim to offer easy application on the skin.

Evonik’s All Day Hydration Skin Relief Rich Toner is made with ABIL Care XL 80, a silicone based emulsifier that provides silky and velvety skin feel.

The toner is enriched with HyaCare, a skin-identical anti-ageing moisturizer and LACTIL, an ideal substitute for reduced natural moisturising factors in the skin, the company claims.

When applied, this toner will be quickly and well absorbed by the skin.

Evonik’s other formulations include Energizing Light Serum, Daily Protection Sun Care Spray SPF 30, PA+++, Smoothing Air Cushion Foundation, Silky Smooth and Even Brilliant Mask and Intensive Hydrating and Refining Mask.

The new low-viscous formulation concept will be unveiled in PCHi 2015 in Guangzhou, China.

Evonik Industries has been producing specialty chemical products in the Greater China region since the late 1970’s.

The company currently employs around 3,000 people in the Greater China region and generated more than €1.1bn in regional sales in 2014.
