Estée Lauder Companies hires Andrew Ross for strategy and business development

Estée Lauder Companies has hired Andrew Ross as senior vice-president for strategy and new business development, effective from the start of next month.

Ross will be a part of the company’s executive leadership team and report to president and CEO Fabrizio Freda and global finance and strategy chief financial officer and executive vice-president Tracey Travis.

He will lead the development and implementation of the company’s strategy and ten-year Strategic Compass, as well as the company’s brand portfolio and capabilities.

He will also explore alignment opportunities across the company with a view to impact the Company’s strategic direction.

Ross will be responsible to monitor and track the implementation of enterprise-wide projects.

Travis said: “Andrew brings a wealth of global strategic experience across the consumer goods, retail and consulting sectors.

“Andrew’s significant track record of shaping global growth, coupled with his proven ability to translate opportunities and challenges from ideas into actionable global strategies, positions him well to take on this very important role for our company.”

Earlier, Ross served as the executive vice-president and chief strategy officer at ConAgra Foods where he headed the company’s corporate strategy, portfolio strategy, mergers and acquisitions.

Ross also served as a principal at McKinsey & Company where he was responsible for the global retail and consumer goods pillar.
