US nail salon essie launches six new polish shades and nailcare system

US-based luxury nail polish brand essie has launched a new collection comprising six light, saturated, and dark shades.

Available for purchase on the brand’s website, in salons, and other beauty destinations, the new colours are claimed to be a modern twist on styles from the 1990s.

The collection includes soft silvery metallic 'girly grunge' with a light purple shine, light baby pink 'saved by the belle' with a blue undertone, and powdery periwinkle blue 'as if!', which has a hint of red.

Earlier this month, the brand introduced new nailcare system treat love & colour to provide nourishing ingredients within its four crème nail shades.

Intended to address brittle nails and deliver long-term benefits, the new system is said to decrease nail peeling by 60% and breakage by 35% in one week.

Formulated using collagen and camellia leaf extract to provide a bright and healthy glow, the new crème nail colours are 'ivory rose' shaded in a blush, 'pinked to perfection' with a carnation pink colour, bright caramel café au lait coloured 'good lighting', and 'one the mauve' with mocha mauve.
