Coty appoints new senior vice-president to support ecommerce strategy

Beauty company Coty has appointed Sean Foster as global senior vice-president (SVP) of its ecommerce operations.

Foster will oversee ecommerce capabilities across Coty's three divisions, including Coty Consumer Beauty, Coty Luxury, and Coty Professional Beauty.

Sean will focus on building better omnichannel user journeys and amplify ecommerce domain depth across Coty's major markets through accelerated recruitment and capability investments.

Coty's chief executive officer (CEO) Camillo Pane said: "Digital is a cornerstone of our strategy for the new Coty. At the core of this focus is our commitment to working with our priority retailer, salon, and stylist partners to drive category growth.”

Coty's chief digital and media officer Jason Forbes said: "We've been building four digital pillars: marketing science, content foundry, media optimisation, and omnichannel.

"Our priority is expanding consumer reach with better content on the right media platforms to drive sales in a highly fluid marketplace. Sean's background is a perfect fit for this."

Sean has more than two decades of digital and ecommerce experience and joins Coty from roles as CEO of Crowdtap, president of Avon online, and the head of marketing for Gilt.com.

He said: "I'm delighted to be joining Coty given the level of executive buy-in I've seen around digital.

"It’s going to be a great chapter building Coty’s eCommerce teams and working with our markets to outperform on brand and retailer ecommerce key performance indicators (KPI)."
