China’s Grand Fan Group buys CICABEL brand from Santinov

China-based haircare and body wash products distributor Grand Fan Group has purchased the CICABEL brand from French manufacturer Santinov.

Marking Grand Fan Group’s debut in the skincare sector, the deal is part of the firm’s ongoing expansion strategy to develop new makeup and skincare brands for the Chinese market.

Expansion plans also include enhancement of the firm’s existing hair, body wash, and body care brands.

Earlier this month, CICABEL unveiled a peptide-based facial mask based on Santinov’s bio-medical technology.

The daily mask includes purified elements designed to deliver energy and promote proliferation of skin epidermal cells.

Grand Fan Group executive said: "China's skincare market needs a leading brand. With our strong confidence in high-tech approaches when it comes to improving one's appearance, we decided to take over CICABEL."

CICABEL owner Jean-Pierre created the brand in 2007 with launch of a laboratory that specialises in the facial skin research based on more than 130 years of skin rejuvenation and wound healing expertise.
