CD&R to acquire High Ridge Brands for $415m

Private investment firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) has announced that its has agreed the $415m acquisition of High Ridge Brands Brynwood Partners.

The acquisition is valued at around $415m. Additional financial details have not been disclosed.

High Ridge Brands is a manufacturer of skin cleansing and haircare products in North America.

Its brands include Alberto VO5, Rave, Coast, Zest and White Rain.

CD&R partner Ken Giuriceo said: "High Ridge Brands is a well-diversified portfolio of longstanding, resilient personal care brands with strong share positions in the personal cleansing and hair care categories.

"The business is highly scalable and will serve as a platform through which to further consolidate the highly fragmented personal care products space."

High Ridge Brands CEO James Daniels said: "We are very excited about the future of High Ridge Brands and are delighted to partner with the CD&R team."

"The firm’s experience with corporate carve-outs, deep consumer products expertise and reputation for operational excellence will be invaluable as we continue to scale."

Following the closure of this transaction, CD&R operating partners John Compton and Vindi Banga will join the board of directors of High Ridge Brands.

This deal is expected to close in June this year.
