Braun’s survey reveals 50% men have sensitive skin concerns

A survey conducted by Procter & Gamble brand Braun has revealed that 50% of men have sensitive skin concerns.

The survey commenced in June last year, with a total of 7,074 men aged 18-34 years. It was performed in the UK, France, Russia, Japan, Italy, Germany, and China. It included 2,845 men aged 18-24 years and 4,229 aged 25-34 years, covering a range of different professions, demographics, nutrition intakes, and amount of leisure time.

It was found that 34% of the total volunteers described their skin as sensitive and the majority of them were self-conscious of their dry, sensitive, or slightly red skin.

The survey indicated that men in the UK have skin prone to dryness, sensitivity, and irritation due to aggressors such as pollution and ultraviolet (UV) rays. In addition, two thirds (66%) said that they delayed their shaving routine due to skin concerns.

To address the issues raised by the survey, Braun has introduced a foil shaver Series 3 ProSkin for men with sensitive skin.

The shaver features advanced MicroComb technology to guide beard hair into the trimmer’s blades, decreasing overall shaving time and skin irritation by simultaneously cutting both short and long hairs with each stroke.

Braun Series 3 ProSkin combines three independently floating cutting elements, two SensoFoils, a precision trimmer, and ergonomic grip to provide a fast and comfortable shave.
