Beiersdorf launches new communications strategy

Beiersdorf has intensified its open innovation activity with the launch of a new communications strategy.

Under the new communications umbrella, the company intends to strengthen its visibility as an attractive and trustworthy partner.

Beiersdorf corporate director for Open Innovation & Innovation Portfolio Andreas Clausen said: "The collaboration with external innovation partners from industries and the scientific community is an important field for our research and development."

In addition to a uniform image, Beiersdorf will continue to expand its communication activities about innovation partnerships and projects.

With a history of external cooperation, the company runs several open innovation formats.

These formats include its Pearlfinder platform, which will be known as Trusted Network, the Innovation Pitch featuring at In-Cosmetics and in-house Supplier Fair and Formulation Academy.

Launched in 1911, Nivea Creme was a result of a cooperation with the dermatologist Dr Paul Gerson Unna.

Beiersdorf is based in Hamburg, Germany.

As well as personal care products, it manufactures and pressure sensitive adhesives. Its brands comprise Elastoplast, Eucerin, Labello, La Prairie, Nivea and Tesa.
