Ant Capital Partners acquires Kagayaku Cosmetics

Japanese private investment firm Ant Capital Partners has purchased Kagayaku Cosmetics.

Ant Capital Partners invests in small and middle market Japanese companies. Its representative director and president Ryosuke linuma was quoted by Cosmeticsdesign-asia.com as saying: "Through our private equity investment activities, we hope to contribute, even in a small way, to reviving Japanese industry and getting the country's economy on track again."

"We aim to become a company that continues to be trusted and favored by more customers under the theme reflected in the new corporate name – All the employees become bright together with customers."

According to the terms of the deal, Sojitz Cosmetics has been renamed to Kagayaku Cosmetics. This company sells skincare, makeup, bodycare and haircare products. It intends to tap increasing demand in the Asian market.

Kagayaku Cosmetics was quoted by Gcimagazine.com as stating: "Since foundation, we have been following the corporate vision of contributing to society by satisfying customers through planning, development, sales, and services concerning cosmetics.

"Following this corporate vision continuing from foundation, we aim to become a company that continues to be trusted and favored by more customers under the theme reflected in the new corporate name-'All the employees become bright together with customers.'

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
