Merz unveils new line of dermal filler products for lip enhancement

Medical aesthetics solutions provider Merz has launched Belotero Lips, a new line of dermal filler products designed for lip enhancement and treatment of perioral lines.

Belotero Lips includes two hyaluronic acid (HA) products, Belotero Lips Shape and Belotero Lips Contour, which complement each other to deliver safe and natural-looking cosmetic results.

The new Belotero Lips line has been designed targeting a broader and youthful audience.

Additionally, the two new dermal filler products can be tailored to meet every individual patient’s needs.

Merz vice-president and Global Marketing head Dr Yannick Grosskreutz said: “A single product is often not versatile enough to deliver the natural, personalized result desired by lip patients.

“With the launch of Belotero Lips Shape and Contour, Merz is proud to now offer physicians a unique complementary approach to lip enhancement.”

Belotero Lips Shape and Belotero Lips Contour provide volume and definition for patient-specific, optimised results.

Belotero Lips Shape has been designed for lip augmentation and to enhance the upper and lower lip, while the other product in the line Belotero Lips Contour is for defining the lip’s outline.

Merz said that lip augmentation using both the products was clinically assessed in a retrospective, multi-centre study involving 146 patients who were observed for more than four months.

Belotero Lips products are currently available in select countries in Europe. Merz plans to offer them in additional markets later this year.
