M&As this week: Clorox Company, Frutarom Industries, Grupo Boticario

The Clorox Company has entered an agreement to acquire Nutranext for $700m.

The purchase consideration will be paid through cash and debt financing.

The acquisition enables Clorox to improve its dietary supplements business and grow its e-commerce and retail segments.

Clorox is a producer of consumer and professional products, while Nutranext is a health and wellness firm that produces and markets dietary supplement brands. Nutranext generated revenues of $200m in 2017.

Both companies involved in the acquisition are based in the US.

Frutarom Industries has entered an agreement to acquire a 70% stake in Meroaromas for $11.2m, which will be paid through bank debt.

The agreement also provides Frutarom Insutries with an option to purchase the remaining Meroaromas shares after three years.

Founded in 1933, Frutarom is a flavour and fragrance company based in Israel. It offers food, beverage, functional food, flavour, fragrance, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic products.

Meroaromas is a manufacturer of flavours and fragrances based in Argentina.

Grupo Boticario has entered an agreement to acquire Vult Cosmetica for an undisclosed sum.

Grupo Boticario is a producer and supplier of beauty products, while Vult Cosmetica offers colour cosmetic products.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in Brazil.

The transaction enables Grupo Boticario to expand its multi-brand and multichannel business.

ChrysCapital has completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Curatio Healthcare for Rs1.3bn ($20m).

Established in 1999, ChrysCapital is an investment firm, while Curatio Healthcare is a manufacturer of skincare products.

Sequoia Capital holds a 33% stake in Curatio Healthcare, while the remaining 67% is held by G K Ramani and Fulcrum Venture India.

Both the firms involved in the transaction are based in India.
