Deals this week: Sephora, Therma Bright, PEP Technologies

Sephora has selected Salesforce’s Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud solutions to enhance its customers’ shopping experiences based on their choices and location.

Sephora is a beauty products manufacturer based in France.

Salesforce’s Commerce Cloud will allow Sephora’s European customers to receive unique content, offers and recommendations based on the information of their past purchases, whereas Service Cloud will provide personalised service to improve customer satisfaction.

The solutions are currently operational in Sweden and Denmark and are expected to be introduced across other countries in Europe, starting with Portugal, Germany and France.

Therma Bright has signed an asset purchase agreement with ICTV Brands to acquire certain assets of its skin and nail phototherapy brands ClearTouch and no!no!.

The purchase consideration of the deal is C$2.25m ($1.75m), which will be paid in instalments by 31 December 2020.

Therma Bright is a Canada-based developer of thermal therapy technology, while ICTV Brands is a US-based retailer of health, beauty, wellness and consumer products.

The transaction is scheduled for completion on or before 1 April 2018.

PEP Technologies has raised $500,000 in a pre-Series A funding round.

Led by Harminder Sahni, the round involved Mohit Bajaj and Calcutta Angels Network.

Proceeds from the funding round will be used for research and development (R&D), to create inventory and extend its product portfolio.

Based in India, PEP Technologies is a caffeinated personal care brand. Vikas Lachhwani is the co-founder of the firm.

Meijigongfang has raised funds through a Series A funding round, which was led by Plum Ventures.

Meijigongfang is a supplier of skincare products and operates beauty salons, while Plum Ventures is a venture capital firm.

Both the firms involved in the transaction are based in China.
