Deals and M&As this week: The Apple Rush, Rael, FSN Ecommerce Ventures

The Apple Rush Company intends to acquire the assets and accounts of Green Frog Products.

Founded in 1998, The Apple Rush Company is a producer of speciality supplements in the US, including anhydrous hemp oil, kratom, kava and other active ingredients. The transaction will enable the company to develop its retail accounts in Florida.

Also based in the US, Green Frog Products helps entrepreneurs achieve critical mass through selling and distributing their products.

Rael has raised $2.1m through a Series A funding round led by SoftBank Ventures Korea and Thrive Market Ventures.

Founded in 2017, Rael is a natural and organic feminine care products manufacturer based in the US.

FSN Ecommerce Ventures has secured Rs1.65bn ($24.4m) through a private placement from Sunil Munjal.

FSN Ecommerce Ventures is doing business as Nykaa.com.

Based in India, Nykaa is an online retailer of beauty and wellness products for both men and women.

Kino Biotech intends to raise funds by issuing 13 million shares in a private placement.

Based in Singapore, Kino Biotech is an integrated bio-nutraceutical and cosmeceutical firm. It mainly focuses on the conceptualisation, development, commercialisation, brand marketing, selling and distribution of innovative healthcare and beauty products.

The proceeds from the placement are intended to be used to support the company’s development and funding requirements.

Designer Parfums has acquired a licence to produce and market Cerruti 1881 products.

Established in 1967, Cerruti 1881 is a ready-to-wear brand for men with approximately 100 directly-operating stores globally. Its product portfolio includes Jean Patou, Aigner Parfums, Ghost and Jean-Louis Scherrer brands.

Designer Parfums portfolio is distributed in more than 80 countries across the US,  Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

TPG Capital intends to buy a minority stake in Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) for a consideration of approximately $3bn.

Founded in 1992, TPG Capital is a US-based private equity firm with more than $82bn of assets.

ABH is a Romania-based global cosmetics brand that offers cosmetics, colour makeup and eyebrow-shaping products.

Azelis has agreed to purchase SammiChem Co for an undisclosed sum.

Based in South Korea, SammiChem is a supplier of personal care ingredients.

Scheduled for completion in Q3 2018, the transaction will enable Azelis to enhance its service offerings and expand its footprint in South Korea.
