Colgate-Palmolive acquires PCA Skin from Norwest

Colgate-Palmolive Company has acquired Physician’s Care Alliance Skin (PCA Skin) from US growth equity and venture investment firm Norwest Venture Partners for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition is intended to expand Colgate-Palmolive’s personal care product portfolio.

Norwest general partner Sonya Brown said: “PCA Skin has become one of the fastest growing skin health brands in the physician dispensed and aesthetician markets.

“PCA Skin has not only created a line of innovative, scientifically-driven, and efficacious products and treatments, but it has formed clinical and professional partnerships to offer unparalleled service and globally recognised training and education programmes.”

Following the acquisition, PCA Skin’s Michael Larrain will continue in Brown’s role as CEO.

Financo and Houlihan Lokey acted as advisors to PCA Skin in relation to the transaction.

Founded in 1990, PCA Skin currently serves more than 13,000 medical and aesthetic practices, with products being sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
